AION 2 is not the original AION
This site covers AION 2 Global only — NC's 2026 sequel, entity-locked to Steam appid 3393110. The original AION (2008) and its Classic servers are a different game, and the Korean and Taiwanese versions of AION 2 are separate services; we reference them solely in version-comparison pages.

When does AION 2 release globally?
October 5, 2026 — confirmed on the Steam store page and NC's official announcement. Founder's Pack owners get Advanced Access five days early, on September 30, 2026, per the official Steam news post.
Is AION 2 coming to mobile or console?
No. Per the official pre-release FAQ, the global version is being developed exclusively for PC platforms. It launches on Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher — there is no official mobile, APK or console version of AION 2 Global.
How many classes does AION 2 have?
Eight. The official Gameplay Spotlight: Classes video opens with "Eight classes. One battlefield." Community coverage consistently names Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter; we mark that roster community-level until NC publishes its official class page.
Is AION 2 free to play?
Yes. AION 2 Global is free to play with optional in-game purchases (listed as In-App Purchases on Steam). Founder's Packs are optional one-time purchases that grant 5-day Advanced Access and cosmetics.
What was the AION 2 closed beta?
The pre-launch test was officially called the Launch Scale Test (September 17–18, 2026), open to everyone with no keys or sign-ups. Progress was wiped and the test has ended — the next milestone is Founder's Pack Advanced Access on September 30.
