AION 2 Classes — All 8 Launch Classes, Roles & Playstyles
All 8 AION 2 classes: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter — roles, ranges and fit, community tags kept separate from official facts.
AION 2 has eight classes at launch — the count comes straight from NC's own trailer copy: "Eight classes. One battlefield." Community coverage across the Launch Scale Test consistently names them as Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter — the classic AION lineup carried into the sequel. Every class can fight on the ground and in the sky, because flight in AION 2 is a combat mechanic, not a travel shortcut.

What the Launch Scale Test told us about classes
The September 17–18 test capped characters at level 37, which put most endgame class identity out of reach — and all test progress was wiped. So treat every "best class at 37" take from test weekend as a early, wiped snapshot rather than a launch verdict. We will re-verify class tags during Founder's Pack Advanced Access (September 30 – October 4) and upgrade these pages as verifiable data lands.

FAQ
Are classes gender-locked in AION 2?
The original AION gender-locked most classes, and players searching "aion 2 classes gender locked" are asking the right question early — but NC had not published a per-class gender policy for the global version at our snapshot date (to be verified). Class pages will carry the answer the moment it is official.
Where are the skill lists?
"AION 2 classes skills" searches spike around every test window. Skill lists per class will live on each class page as they can be verified in-game — skill names, chains and coefficients stay "(to be verified)" until we can confirm them in Advanced Access or from official sources.
