AION 2 launch servers by region (EU, NA West/East, Latin America, Asia): every Elyos and Asmodian server, which ones were Advanced Access servers, and how faction matchmaking pairs them.
The full AION 2 launch server list is out (official post, October 4): servers are split by region first, then faction — every server houses only one faction (Elyos or Asmodian), and each Elyos server is paired with an Asmodian counterpart for cross-faction PvP in the Abyss and Spacetime Rifts. At first launch you choose Region → Faction → Server, in that order.

How faction matchmaking works
The official matchmaking post explains the pairing system: Elyos and Asmodians live apart, but the war does not stay behind borders — in cross-faction modes (the Abyss, Spacetime Rifts) the opposing players you meet come from your paired server. Pairings are time-limited, so rivalries rotate.

- Region by latency — the five regions map to the confirmed server locations (NA/SA/EU/JP; see the global version page).
- Faction by the war you want — your faction decides which half of the paired rivalry you fight from; class choice is faction-free (all eight classes, see the class hub).
